Bethany M. (Burns) Rasmusson, age 65, of Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday September 17, 2017 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland. 

Bethany was born on January 2, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to Edward & Donna (Manor) Burns. She moved to the Houghton Lake area in 1987 from Bay City. Bethany worked as a paramedic in the Houghton Lake area for many years. She was a former Vice President for the Houghton Lake Ambulance, she taught many of the local CPR classes, and was a member of the Denton Township Fire Department. Bethany enjoyed painting, hunting, fishing and watching Sunday night football and was a Detroit Lions fan. 

Bethany is survived by her daughter; Heather (AJ) Kory of Roscommon, sons; Joseph (Chris) Wysocki of Prudenville, Chad (Nichole) Wysocki of Montrose and Sean Krygier of DeTour, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
