Brenda Truax Obituary

Cadillac - Brenda Truax, of Falmouth,  passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 12, 2018. She was 57.

A beloved mother and grandmother, she leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Harmon Truax; her children, Elizabeth Truax, Wendy (Aaron Coon) Truax, Christopher Truax, Harmon Luke Truax, Shannon (Bill) Reffitt, Calan (Alexis Root) Truax, and Harold Truax.  She also leaves behind; three precious grandchildren, Dylan and Sophia Reffitt and Lylah LaGrow; her brother, Robert (Theresa) Beals; mother, Edna Beals; brothers-in-law, Richard and Larry; sisters-in-law, Peggy, Angela, Phylis, and Norma; many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Also equally as important, but to numerous to mention individually.

Brenda was born on January 29, 1961.  She attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Manton and Cadillac as well as the school.  In tenth and eleventh grade she proudly attended Cedar Lake Academy before becoming a graduate of Cadillac High School in 1979.  On February 14, 1981 she married the love of her life, Harmon Truax and later that year the two of them welcomed their first child home.  Eventually no less than seven children would bless this couple.  While attending Cedar Lake Academy, Brenda, worked at Dakota Bake N Serve, suffering her first minor case of frostbite.  Brenda also worked at Oleson's Markets, Admirals, PBS, CNI/UTI, Service Master and for the past 2-3 years as a caregiver at the Curry House.

Brenda loved God and her knowledge of the bible was a beacon in troubled times.  She also loved tending her garden, playing games on her Kindle, playing weekly board games with family. Due to her eyesight, she wasn't as much of the tailor as she wanted to be, but still enjoyed what she could do. And, lastly she enjoyed spending time with those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny; sisters, Cheryl Truax and Norma Beals; in-law's, Norman and Wilma Truax; sister-in-law, Carol Truax; and her father, Harold Beals.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 with visitation held one hour prior at the Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home.

Interment will be held in Moorestown at a later date in the spring.
