Cadillac - Brian Leonard Snider, longtime resident of Cadillac, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 after a brief stay at Tendercare's Birchwood Health Center in Traverse City. He was 63. Brian was born on April 10, 1954, in Cadillac, Michigan to Leonard F. and Maxine A. (Hill) Snider. Brian grew up in Cadillac and attending school there before enlisting with the United States Army. He proudly served his country as a member of the armed forces oversees stationed in Germany as a mechanic. From a young age Brian enjoyed fast cars, hot-rods, or anything of the like. He had a passion for Corvettes and had the privilege of owning a few, however, having Brian as the owner may not have worked out so well for the car.

He often could be found listening to country music and Patsy Cline or enthralled in some western television show or movie. Brian would get lost as he took in episodes of Gunsmoke or anything with his idle John Wayne. It was a rare occasion to find Brian outside the comfort of his blue jeans and cowboy boots. Family was dear to his heart and he created countless memories fishing with those he loved. Brian thoroughly enjoyed the time he was able to spend with family and friends fishing in Canada. But nearest to his heart was his beloved daughter, Nikki. Brian deeply cared for her and will be remembered and cherished as a father, who wanted the best for his family.

Brian is survived by a loving family; his daughter, Nicole Snider of Cadillac; two brothers, Mark Snider and Bruce (Shelly) Snider; one sister, Susan Byers; several nieces and nephews; as well as many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Maxine.

Memorial services celebrating Brian's life will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 2:15 pm with visitation from 12 noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the United Methodist Church of Cadillac, located at 1020 E. Division Street. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas Ball. Placement of Brian's urn will take place at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac, at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made directed to the Cadillac United Methodist Church or the Wounded Warrior Project.
