Casper Louis Sears, 88, of Prudenville passed away on Friday October 27, 2017 at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Casper was born on August 2, 1929 in Belleville, Michigan to Casper and Margaret (Carnie) Sears. He served as a PFC in the Army during the Korean War. Casper worked as a Foreman for Drawtite Company for many years. On August 23, 1952 in Wyandotte, Casper was married to Betty Agnes Rhodes. The couple moved to the Prudenville area from Belleville over twenty five years ago. Casper was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Prudenville and the Knights of Columbus in Belleville. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with family.

Surviving Mr. Sears are his wife of 65 years, Betty Agnes Sears of Prudenville; four daughters, Denise (Mike) Warblow of Beloit, WI, Kristine (David) Baker of Belleville, Ruthie (Timothy) Bedard of Dundee, and Julie (Robert) McCollum of Wayne; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; brother, Bart Sears of Ypsilanti. Casper was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nancy Sears; brother, Richard Sears; sister, Kathleen Cook; and sister, Geraldine Blevins. 

Mass of Christian Burial for Casper Louis Sears will be conducted 11:00 am Monday November 6 2017 from St. Anthony Catholic Church, 409 W Columbia Ave, Belleville, MI. Interment will be in Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Flat Rock. Memorial contributions in memory of Casper are asked to be directed to Shriners Hospitals for Children.  Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
