Charles L. Robbins, 62, of Houghton Lake Heights passed away on Monday February 19, 2018 at his home.
Charles was born on January 1, 1956 in Lansing, Michigan to Charles and Naomi (Moore) Robbins. He grew up in the Lansing area and graduated from Lansing Sexton High School. Charles served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as an Entertainer with his Elvis Tribute Program and his One Man Band. Charles also drove bus for the Clare County Transportation in Harrison from which he retired. Charles was a member of the Alano Club, Houghton Lake Eagles, Houghton Lake Moose, Houghton Lake Elks, Houghton Lake VFW Post #4034.
Surviving Mr. Robbins are his two daughters, Maurina Robbins of Lansing, and Candie Martin of Houghton Lake; two sons, Charles L. Robbins IV of Lansing, and Jonathon (Cassandra) Martin of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren; sister, Kay Leathers of Harrison; brother, Rex A.(Lynn) Robbins of Houghton Lake; former wife Shawn Vilella; several nieces and nephews; very special friends, Mac and Edie Tario, Pat and Dean. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joan Powell, two brothers, Robert and Richard.
Visitation for Charles L. Robbins will be conducted on Thursday February 22, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday February 23, 2018 at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel. Private Family Graveside Services will be held at Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake. Memorial contributions in memory of Charles are asked to be directed to the family.
