Cheri Lynn MacLeod, 37, a resident of Hillsboro, Oregon, passed away on Wednesday, December 27th, 2017 at her home.

Cheri was born on May 24th, 1980 in Clare, Michigan. She was one of two children born to John and Freda (Bruner) MacLeod. In 2004, after graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology, Cheri relocated to Portland, OR. While in Oregon, she worked as a devoted employee for thirteen years at Ryan’s Bottle Shop in Aloha, OR. While working there, Cheri met her loving long term partner of 12 years, Nick Stevens. Six years ago, they had a beautiful daughter Emma, who was the light of her life. Cheri treasured the ability to travel, and often participated in a number of outdoor activities; ranging from boating, skiing, rafting, clamming to camping. Cheri was always a happy person. She enjoyed playing games, reading, and was an animal lover.

She is survived by her loving partner, Nick Stevens of Hillsboro, OR; daughter, Emma; her parents, John and Freda MacLeod of Cadillac; her brother, Robert and spouse, Lacy MacLeod and their children Landon and Rylie, of Midland; grandmothers, Opal Bruner of Gladwin and Marjorie Stevens of Seaside, OR; Nick's parents, Patrick Stevens of Hillsboro, OR and Shelly Yuan of Portland, OR; Nick's brother, Christopher Stevens of Hillsboro, OR; and his sister, Amanda Stevens, partner Jacob Greisen, and their son Benjamin, of Wilsonville, OR. In addition to this, Cheri had 8 aunts and 6 uncles and a multitude of cousins.

She was preceded in death by both grandpa and grandma MacLeod, grandpa Bruner, and grandfather Stevens.

Memorial services, celebrating Cheri's life, will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home in Cadillac, with visitation one hour prior.
