LeRoy, Michigan - Craig Thomas Jamieson, of LeRoy and formerly of Dearborn Heights, passed away on , Saturday, August 12, 2017 at his home with his loving family.

Craig was born on January 3, 1949, in Highland Park, Michigan to Robert Thomas and Evangeline Ruth (Steinke) Jamieson. He entered into marriage on July 17, 1971 with the former Patricia Ruth Brookins while stationed in Springfield, Massachusetts. Craig served in the U.S. AirForce for 4 years until returning back home to start his career. He spent 25 years working for General Motors building Cadillac cars until his time of retirement. Craig and Pat relocated to LeRoy, Michigan in 2008 to start their retirement journey together. They traveled all over the United States on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved to spend time outdoors snowmobiling and was a member of the Cadillac Winter Warriors. Craig enjoyed working on projects and was a good carpenter. He loved his pets throughout life and was always known as a dog-person, until a cat they named Snowball came into their life and adopted them.

Craig is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia Brookins; twin siblings, Cary (Helen) Jamieson and Cheri Jamieson; nephews, Scott Jamieson and Jim (Meredith) Brookins; nieces, Barb (Jeremy Cox) Brookins and Natalie (Ryan) Rese; great-nephew, Jared; great-niece, Abigail; brothers-in-law, Les (Tina) Brookins, Steve (Jackie) Brookins and Keith Brookins; cat, Snowball; and many other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Craig Jamieson will support the UMCCC Pancreatic Cancer Program Fund. He was preceded in death by his parents and three dogs, Tuffie, Champ, and Reo.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior also at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Farmer. Interment will take place at Rose Lake Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Cadillac Area Honor Guard.
