Tustin - David Warfield Cooper, of Highland Township, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at his home with family by his side. He was 82.
David was born on July 26, 1935, in Evart, Michigan to parents, Fred and Faye (Davis) Cooper. On June 24, 1955, David entered into marriage with the former Una B Nichols, in Cadillac. The two made their home near Tustin where they raised their four children.
David spent a long career with the former Kysor Company, working as a machinist and in quality control before his eventual retirement after 35 years. David loved to be outdoors and took every opportunity to get into the woods with friends and family. He had a passion for hunting and fishing and took many trips to Canada in search of moose, or the next good fishing hole. David enjoyed music, he liked listening to and playing southern gospel. He was passionate about his family and created many lasting memories during camping trips or taking the younger generations for rides on the trail wagon.
He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, and was looked up to by many for his example, and unfailing faith in Christ.
