Manton, Michigan - Hal Longstreet, of Manton passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at his home. He was 84.

Hal was born on September 27, 1932, in Manton, Michigan to Harry and Ruth (Jenkins) Longstreet. He answered the call of duty serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Hal entered into marriage with the former Dona Fryling on August 30, 1952, in Parkville, MI. The couple spent 60 years together until her time of passing in 2012. He enjoyed spending time outside, especially hunting. Hal loved wood-working and was known for making furniture. He was an active member at the Manton Senior Center, especially on meatloaf nights. He spent his career working for over 30 years for Kysor as a welder.

Hal is survived by his five loving children, Thomas Hal (Lynne) Longstreet Sr., Ellen Diane (James) Schwach, Julie Anne (Brian) Clock, Dale Lynn (Therese) Longstreet and Rick Lee (Cheryl) Longstreet; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Marjorie Tossey and Rubedene Hill; his twin brother, Hugh Longstreet; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dona; his parents; five brothers, George Longstreet, Earl Lee Longstreet, Harry "Jock" Longstreet, Paul Longstreet and Glen Longstreet; and two sisters, Maxine Weaver and Rose Marie Longstreet.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Manton Senior Center.
