Helen Louise (Preston) Alberts

August 23, 1916 ~ June 19, 2017 (age 100) 100 Years Old


Clare, Michigan- Helen Louise Alberts, of Clare, formerly of Marion, passed away on Monday June 19, 2017 at Prestige Place in Clare. She was 100.


Helen was born on August 23, 1916 in Winterfield Township, Michigan to Albert and Effie (Lammon) Preston. Helen worked at B.F. Goodrich Plant in Cadillac. Helen was married on April 4, 1933 in Marion, M, to Andrew Leroy  Alberts. Helen made hundreds of quilts. Her favorite color was blue and she likes the smell of roses. She enjoyed sweets.
Surving Helen is her son, Duane (Patricia) Alberts of Coleman, MI; Sister, Lena Alexander of Kentucky, daughter in law Mary Alberts of Marion, Son In Law, Leroy Schuler of Gladwin. 28 Grandchildren, 67 Great Grandchildren, 57 1/2 Great Great Grandchildren 1 Great Great Great grandson.  Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Leroy Alberts, father, Albert Earl Preston, mother, Effie Jane Lammon, daughter and Son in Law,   Francis (Loren) Wallace, daughter and Son In law  Karen (Tim) Burger, daughter, Judy Schuler, daughter, Brenda Burger, Son, Marvin  Alberts Sr.
Funeral services will be conducted at Fosnaught- Holdship Funeral Home on Wednesday June 21, 2017 at 1 p.m. visitation will be held two hours prior, starting at 11 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Otto Johnsen will preside. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
