Lake City, Michigan - Hilda Hannelore Powell, of Boon passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Belle Oakes Living Center. She was 86.
Hilda was born on April 4, 1931, in Kassel, Germany to Fredrick and Elizabeth (Gerhold) Berg. She entered into marriage with Robert Alton Powell on March 26, 1974 in Texas. The couple relocated to Boon to start their life together. Hilda enjoyed spending time outside in her garden and had even won blue ribbons at fair for her flowers. She was very artistic and liked to sew and make quilts.
Hilda is survived by her husband, Robert Alton Powell of Boon as well as many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Norman and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 1 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Hitesman- Holdship Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Warren J. Wood. Interment will take place at a later date.
