Holly Denise Shippy, 44, of Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday October 15, 2017 at home following a long illness.

Holly was born on August 17, 1973 in Grayling, Michigan to Frederick and Balkis (Fathi) Shippy. Holly grew up in the Grayling and Houghton Lake areas and graduated from Grayling High School. She worked as a Cashier for several retail businesses in the area and worked at the family sporting store in Houghton Lake, Rods and Rifles. She enjoyed spending time with family and especially being with her nieces and nephews.

Surviving Ms. Shippy are her; mother, Balkis Shippy of Grayling; brother, Steven T. Shippy of Saginaw; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Holly was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Thomas Shippy, and brother, Frederick L. Shippy. 

Memorial Services for Holly Denise Shippy will be conducted at 12:30 PM Wednesday October 18, 2017 from Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church, 400 E. Michigan Avenue, Grayling, Michigan with Rev. Rich Burstall officiating. Interment will be in Moorestown Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Holly are asked to be directed to the family.
