Manton, Michigan - Hugh Longstreet, life long resident of Manton passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017, joining his wife in Heaven. He was 84.
Hugh was born on September 27, 1932, in Manton, Michigan to Harry and Ruth (Jenkins) Longstreet. Hugh entered into marriage with the former Anna Mae Bundy, in Manton, on August 29, 1952, who preceded him in death in December of 1988.
Hugh was employed by the Hickey's and owned his own slaughter house for many years. He also worked as his own boss as a grade A & B milk hauler, up until the time of his wife's death. Hugh enjoyed every opportunity to spend time with his kids and grandkids and created many memories, camping, hunting or woodworking. He was a member of the Community of Christ and will be missed by many.
Hugh is survived by his children, Sheryl (David) Siddall, Bruce (Ronda) Longstreet, Craig (Andrea) Longstreet, and Jeff (Lavonda) Longstreet; eleven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Margie Tossey and Rubaden (Bob) Hill, as well as many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by her wife, Ann; a son, Doug; brothers, Earl, Paul, George, Glenn, Harry, and his twin brother, Hal; one sister, Maxine.
Funeral services will take place at 1 pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Hall-Holdship Funeral Home in Manton, with visitation one hour prior.
Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
