Jay Lee Boyle, 55, of Houghton Lake passed away on Friday October 13, 2017 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Jay was born on April 4, 1962 in Lansing, Michigan to Alton and Carol (Hayes) Boyle. He grew up in the Lansing area graduating from St. Johns High School. Jay served in the US Army in the late 1970's. He worked as a Maintenance Person in the Lansing area and in the Oil Industry on oil rigs. Jay was married on July 16, 1990 in Mason to Della F. DuBreuil. He was a very knowledgeable man and enjoyed working with his hands, rebuilding most anything, and helping people on the street. Jay loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.

Surviving Mr. Boyle are his loving wife of 27 years, Della F. Boyle of Houghton Lake; daughter, Sandra D. Boyle of Houghton Lake; son, Dustin L. Boyle of Houghton Lake; son, Eric St. Charles of Houghton Lake; father, Alton F. Boyle of St. Johns; sister, Janice (Harold) Gunderman of St. Johns; three brothers, Keith (Helen) Boyle of Elsie, Don (Mary) Boyle of Lansing, Marv (Jamie) Boyle of Bath; and several nieces and nephews. Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Beth Boyle. 

Memorial Services for Jay Lee Boyle will be conducted at the Houghton Lake United Methodist Church 11:00am Wednesday October 25, 2017 with Rev. George Spencer officiating.  Memorial contributions in memory of Jay are asked to be directed to the family. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
