Jeffrey Joel Galliher, 57, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City with his loving family at his side.

Jeffrey was born on February 26, 1959 in Grayling, Michigan to Fred and Janet Irene (Britten) Galliher. Jeff grew up in the Houghton Lake area where he attended school and spent most of his life. Jeff worked as a truck driver and pulp wood cutter for Mumma Forest Products and Bradley Forest Products for several years.  He later did carpentry work in the Houghton Lake area.  Jeff was a former member of the Lake Township Fire Department and enjoyed to hunt and fish.

Surviving Mr. Galliher are his two daughters, Dulce Galliher of Grosse Isle, and Emma Galliher of Mt. Pleasant; several grandchildren; brother, Greg (Cindy) Galliher of Houghton Lake; sister, Kim (Dave) McFarlane of Houghton Lake; mother, Janet I. Sprague of Houghton Lake; father, Fred Galliher of Houghton Lake; long time girl friend, Missy Hasty of Houghton Lake; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  

Memorial services for Jeffrey Joel Galliher will be conducted at a later date.  Memorial contributions in memory of Jeff are asked to be directed to the charity of the donors choice.  Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.  Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
