Cadillac, Michigan - Joseph Montgomery, of Irons and formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018. He was 58.

Joseph was born on April 19, 1959, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Edward and Cecil (Rosloniec) Montgomery. He entered into marriage with the former Dawn S. Peterson on April 26, 1986 in Grand Rapids. He spent his career working construction in flooring as a tile layer until his time of retirement. Joseph enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved the time he spent at his cabin with friends and family.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Dawn Montgomery; two children, Bill Rose and Marion (John Stengel) Rose; two brothers, Donald Montgomery and Bruce Montgomery; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 niece; 3 nephews; his best friend, Robert J. of Irons; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Bryan Rose and Noel Peterson.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
