Cadillac, Michigan - Kathryn Marguerite Bayliff, of Marion passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. She 96.

Kathryn was born August 29, 1920, in Marion, Michigan to Ross and Nina (Woolley) Rockey. She spent her entire life as a hometown born and raised Marion gal. Kathryn entered into marriage with Beryl William Bayliff on January 18, 1940 in Clare, Michigan. The couple spent 67 years together until his time of passing on November 27, 2006. Kathryn was known for her wonderful baking, especially donuts and cookies. She spent her career working for the Marion Public Schools as a baker for the school. Her daughters will remember her as a classy lady and a strict, but good mother. Kathryn was a devoted wife and a hard worker. She had a warm personality and enjoyed spending time with her friends playing various card games. On Friday nights growing up she would have her children invite their friends over for pizza parties. She spent her life living as an upright example for her family.  Kathryn was a faithful member of the Marion United Methodist Church.

Kathryn is survived by her two daughters, Donna Bayliff of Byron Center and B. Marguerite (Louis Aranda) Butz of Brooklyn, NY; 6 grandchildren, Robert Reer of Holland, Deborah (Brian) Terborg of Walker, Brian (Nikki) Reer of Byron Center, Eric (Jonna) Butz of Seattle, Jennifer Butz of San Migel de Allende, Mexico and Stephen (Kim) Butz of Dexter; 7 great-grandchildren, Taylor Terborg, Turner Terborg, Kathryn Terborg, Adelyn Reer, Carson Reer, Owen Butz and Trygvy Butz; one cousin, Gene (Penny) Woolley and many other loving family members and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Beryl W. Bayliff, her parents, a half-sister, Leala Rock and a half-brother, B Rockey.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 12:30 pm with visitation held one hour prior also at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Mort. Interment will take place in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery.
