Louise Welter, age 86, of Prudenville passed away on Thursday December 28, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Louise was born on March 15, 1931 to Frank and Gladys (Milton) Eckles. She was married on March 8, 1947 in Owosso to Gerald A. Welter Sr. They moved to Prudenville in 1980 from Holly. She worked as a beautician for many years and also worked at Putt R. Golf in Prudenville before retiring. Louise was a member of the Houghton Lake Moose Lodge, Houghton Lake Elks, Roscommon County Red Hat Group and Widows Group. She enjoyed playing Pinochle, bowling, going to garage sales, playing BINGO, crocheting and baking.

Louise is survived by her daughters; Nancy Ross of Holly and Vickie Welter of Fenton, sons; Gerald Welter Jr. of Prudenville, Edward (Marcella) Welter of Fenton and Frederick Welter of Florida, eighteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great-grandson, four brothers and two sisters.  

Per Louise's wishes cremation has taken place and interment will be in Denton Township Cemetery. Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
