Phillip K. Cohee, age 70 of Prudenville passed away on Sunday July 30, 2017 at Crawford Continuing Care Center with family by his side.

Phil was born on January 23, 1947 in West Branch, Michigan to Gene & Lois (Bailey) Cohee. Phil met a young lady at church camp by the name of Linda S. Selmes. The two were married on January 13, 1967 in Whittemore. Phil worked as a wood cutter and later worked as a teacher at the Houghton Lake Adult Ed, he was also a teacher for Mid-Michigan Community College. Phil was an active member in the Community of Christ Church. He enjoyed coaching kids in sports, playing golf, going for walks and reading.

Phil is survived by his sons; Jonathan Cohee of Chicago, IL. Matthew (Kathy) Cohee of Pierre, SD, daughter; Melissa Bennett of Grayling, seven grandchildren and sister; Wanda Hamel. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda, brother Marty Cohee.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 11 am Saturday August 5, 2017 at Community of Christ Church located at 7622 Stone School Road, Houghton Lake. Burial will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions are asked to be directed to the Community of Christ Church, (mailing address) 7535 W. Emery Road, Houghton Lake, Michigan 48629.
