Raymond J. Bowns, age 69 of Prudenville passed away at home on Thursday November 2, 2017 with his family by his side. 

Raymond was born on August 2, 1948 in Grayling, Michigan. He married Dorothea E. Boyce on December 26, 1969 in Muskegon. Raymond retired from General Motors after 35 years. After retiring Raymond worked for Bay Shippers for 10 years before moving to Prudenville in 2011. He enjoyed reading, playing on the computer and singing to music. 

Raymond is survived by his daughters; Amanda (Forrest) Kanouse of Reed City and Nikki Bowns of Prudenville, Billie Jo (Anthony Colvin) Rock of Merritt, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, . He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothea, son Jimmy, daughter Tracy and granddaughter Payton.
