Cadillac, Michigan - Roberta Joan Gerding, or as her family called her "Bobby" or "Bubba", of Cadillac, formerly of Chesaning, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Samaritas Senior Living in Cadillac. She was 62.

Bobby was born on September 25, 1954, in Owosso, Michigan to Robert and Joan (Shankus) Gerding. She grew up in Chesaning until later relocating to Cadillac. Bobby enjoyed everyday simple life. She loved arts and crafts, especially coloring. Bobby was fond of listening to all sorts of music. Sitting on the porch visiting with family always put a smile on her face. No matter what came her way in life, she never stopped smiling.

Bobby is survived by her loving siblings, Marie (Jerry) Conklin, Nancy (Tod) Wellman, Ken Gerding, Kathleen (Bob Martin) Swinehart and William (Tina) Gerding; six nephews, Mike Palacio, Robert Palacio, Peter Hampton, Ken Gerding Jr., Cole Swinehart and Alex Gerding; five nieces, Carol Moore, Kristie Scholten, Jessica Swinehart, Melanie Gerding and Kristina Gerding; nine great nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Joan Gerding.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the After 26 Depot in Cadillac.
