Ronald "Ron" G. Peyser age 74, of  Prudenville passed away on Monday August 28, 2017 at his home.

Ron was born on August 19, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Harry and Gloria (Wesbey) Peyser. He played basketball for Indiana University and was a member of the Indiana University Beta Theta Pi Chapter. He moved to the area 20 years ago. He was the owner and operator of Duke's party Store in Prudenville for the past 12 years. Ron was an avid exerciser and weight lifter.  

Ron is survived by his brother; Kim (Valri) Peyser of Lake Linden, sister; Karen (Richard) Allen of California, nieces; Kameron and MacKenzie, nephews; Richard Jr., Chris, Charles, Joseph and Douglas. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel on Saturday September 16, 2017 at 3 pm with Pastor Scott Scheer officiating. The family will greet friends from 2 pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions in memory of Ronald are asked to be directed to the Houghton Lake High School Athletic Department at 4433 W. Houghton Lake Drive, Houghton Lake, Michigan 48629.
