Cadillac, Michigan - Sandra Kay "Sandy" Sharp, of Cadillac passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at her home with family by her side. She was 71

Sandy was born on September 16, 1945, in Cadillac, Michigan to Garth and Edna Ryan. Sandra entered into marriage with Marvin Sharp in January 1966. She spent her career working for Avon Automotive until her time of retirement  23 years later. Sandy loved spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, and was quite fond of Danielle Steel books. She enjoyed music, especially Elvis Presley. Sandra was tougher than nails and her family will remember her as a "tough old bird".

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Marvin Sharp; two children, Roxanne (Bob Koon) Wright and James (Connie Schultz) Sharp; grandchildren, Ryan (Kate) Wright, Kotey (Jennifer) Wright, Mindy (Joshua) Tobias, Sierra Sharp, Kyle Wright, Kyle Koon, and Corey (Justice) Koon; great-grandchildren, Evison, Ryan, Mason, Dexter, Wyatt, Kayona, Hailie, Logan, Cooper, Carter and Maelyn; special friend, Janice Cox; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garth and Edna Ryan; two brothers, Greg Ryan and Leo (Barb) Ryan; and her grandmother, Gladys Ryan.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 12 noon with visitation held one hour prior at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home. Officiating will be Chaplain Walter Ross. 

Memorial contributions in Sandy's honor may be directed to the funeral home towards the funeral expenses.
