Wilbur "Willie" Alan Randall, 75, of Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday January 14, 2018 at home with loving family by his side.
Willie was born on February 17, 1942 in Houghton Lake Heights, Michigan to Hazen and Ella (Alexander) Randall, the next to the youngest of thirteen children. He grew up in The Heights and graduated from Houghton Lake High School in 1960. Willie served in the Navy following high school. He worked in the residential and commercial construction business all of his life, as a contractor and worked at the family business, Randall Lumber Company. He owned the Old Time Restaurant and Sunset Laundry Mat in The Heights for several years. In 1969 he served as the Marshall for Tip Up Town. Willie was a life member of the Navy SeaBee Veterans of America, life member of the Michigan License Plate Collectors Association, and the Automobile License Plate Collectors Association.
Surviving Mr. Randall are his two sons Doug(Karyn) Randall of Mt. Pleasant, and Steve (Diane) Randall of Houghton Lake Heights; several grandchildren; four brothers, Murl "Pinky" (Joyce) Randall of Houghton Lake, Herbert (Joan) Randall of Houghton Lake, Arthur(Kay) Randall of Houghton Lake, and Carl Randall of Houghton Lake; three sisters, Myrtle Williams of Houghton Lake, Julia"Joanne"(Ron) Couch of Houghton Lake, and Vera (Ron) Randall-Parsons of Houghton Lake Heights; long time companion, Keitha Kurtz of Houghton Lake; several nieces and nephews. Willie was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Verna; and four brothers, Gordon, Donald, Homer, and Louis Randall.
Funeral Services for Wilbur "Willie" Alan Randall will be conducted at 12:00pm Wednesday January 17, 2018 from Houghton Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. George Spencer officiating. Interment will be in Roscommon Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of the service at 12:00pm. Memorial contributions in memory of Willie are asked to be directed to the Houghton Lake United Methodist Church or the Roscommon County Animal Shelter.
