Eva "Lucy" Lucille (Swanberg) Moffit-Perkins

Eva Lucille "Lucy" Swanberg, Moffit, Perkins born June 3,1924 to Claude and Edith Swanberg, passed peacefully in her home March 31, 2024. 

Lucy was born in Cadillac Michigan and lived her childhood with her seven siblings on Sunnyside Drive. She married Carl Moffit Sr. in August 1940 and after his passing she met Raymond Perkins and was married in August 1998. Lucy attended the Cherry Grove Nazarene Church and taught Sunday school class there for several years. She belonged to a community Home Ec Club for nearly 25 years learning qualities of caring for the home. She was an Avon Sales Lady for 22 years and enjoyed getting out and meeting with her clients.

She is survived by her son, Ned, (Kathy) Moffit of East Tawas, daughter, Janice Foland of Tennessee; and was preceded in death by two infant sons and daughter, Judy Webb of Tennessee. She has 9 grandchildren, 21 great, 23 great-great and 3 great-great-great grandchildren.

Lucy Loved the Lord, reading her bible and could be heard praying for her family and friends by name every morning.

Her memorial service will be held at the Cherry Grove Nazarene Church on Friday, April 12, 2024 with visitation with the family at 10 a.m., and Services beginning at 11 a.m.
