Anthony Mancevich Obituary

Anthony “Tony” Mancevich, age 89 of Moorestown, passed away December 5, 2019 at his home.

Tony was born December 16, 1929 in Detroit to John and Mary (Owcheruk) Mancevich.  He married the former Barbara Teeple on August 14, 1952 in Port Huron.  Tony had been employed as a draftsman engineer by General Dynamics in the Chrysler Defense Program for over 30 years.  He enlisted in the US Navy and served on the aircraft carrier Midway. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved being in the woods, watching the deer in his yard, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and experiencing Canadian fishing.

He is survived by his wife Barbara and son, John (Cheryl) Mancevich of Lum and daughter, Julie Mancevich of Wolverine.  He is also survived by grandchildren Nathan (Kristen), David and Melissa and great-grandchildren Brianna, Ivy and Ava and a brother Donald (Donna) Mancevich and two sisters Mary Ann Meacham and Kathy Combs.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Raymond Mancevich.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Hyun Jun Cho and Chaplain Walter Ross officiating. A time of visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until the service time.  Military honors will be presented by the Lake City American Legion Post 300.  Burial will take place in the Stittsville Cemetery.

The family is being served by the Young-Holdship Funeral Home.
