Arthur "Art" L. Webber, age 91, of Houghton Lake passed away on Monday November 6, 2017 at home with his loving family by his side.

Art was born on January 8, 1926 in Tintah, Minnesota to Andrew and Elizabeth (Quast) Webber. He served as a Pfc in the 101st Airborne for the US Army in Germany during World War II. Arthur was married on July 9, 1955 in Flint to Vera Trosko. He retired from General Motors and the couple moved to Houghton Lake over 38 years ago. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. 

Art is survived by his sons; Gregory Webber of Houghton Lake, Mark (Melissa) Webber of Prudenville,daughter; Lori (Jeff) Melloh of Prudenville;  grandchildren; Brooke (Matt) Ensing and Tyler Webber; sister; Beverly Carr of Flint and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to Compassionate Care & Hospice of Helping Hands for the care they gave to Art. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Vera Webber, sisters; Margaret Barrett and Irene Cotterman. 

Visitation will be held at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel on Wednesday November 8, 2017 from 3-7 pm with the Rosary at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday November 9, 2017 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 11 am. Memorial contributions in memory of Arthur are asked to be directed to Hospice of Helping Hands West Branch, Michigan. Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
