Traverse City, Michigan- Arthur "Scotty"Wendel Scott, of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was 88.

Scotty was born on September 15, 1930 in Plymouth, Michigan to Arthur G. and Eleanor (Rowden) Scott. He answered the call of duty serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. On August 5, 1991, he entered into marriage with the former Shannon Hurd at The Little Wedding Chapel in Northville, Michigan. Scotty proudly spent his career working both as a fireman for the Livonia Fire Department and later as a school bus driver for Livonia public schools until his time of retirement. Many who knew Scotty, knew him as a handy-man that could fix anything. He cherished the time spent with his family and was the best husband a wife could ask for.

Scotty is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Shannon Scott of Lake City; children, Allison (Robert) Poshadlo, Art (Jeanine) Scott, Sharon Scott and Tracy (Linda) Scott; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
