Barbara Lee (Hughes) Harding

Barbara Lee Harding, 78, of  Houghton Lake went to be with her Lord on Thursday August 22, 2019 while at home with her loving family by her side.

Barbara was born on May 10, 1941 in Owosso, Michigan to John  and Lillian (DeFields) Hughes.  On February 8, 1959 Barbara was married in Ann Arbor to Richard Allen  Harding.  Barbara worked as a Florist in several shops in the Corunna area and then was co-owner of Fresh and Fancy Florist. The couple moved to Vanderbilt for a few years and settled in Houghton Lake in 2004. She enjoyed baking special cakes and doing floral arrangements for family weddings and special occasions.  Barbara's special love was spending time with her grandchildren, especially spoiling them around the holiday's with cookies and homemade treats.

Surviving Mrs. Harding are her loving husband of 60 years, Richard Allen Harding of Houghton Lake; three sons, Richard (Amie) Harding of Arkansas, Jeffery (Sally) Harding of Houghton Lake, and Scott Harding of Houghton Lake; grandchildren, Jeffery(Van) Harding, Shana(Tom) Vollmer, Ryan(Amanda) Harding, Alyssa(Kenneth) McLain, and Andrew Harding; 10 great grandchildren.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Emily. 

Family Graveside Services will be conducted for Barbara Lee Harding at Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake.  Memorial contributions in memory of Barbara are asked to be directed to Grayling Munson Hospice .
