Cadillac, Michigan - Barbara Mae (Coleman) Johnson, of Manton passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Samaritas Senior Living in Cadillac. She was 97.

Barbara was born on May 12, 1920, in Marion, Michigan to Frank and Nora (Partee) Coleman. She entered into marriage with Arthur "Budd" Johnson on October 16, 1942, in Cadillac. The couple spent 31 years together until his time of passing in August of 1973. Barbara spent much of her career working for the Tribune Record in Manton. After her retirement, she worked for the Council on Aging for many years. She enjoyed taking walks and liked to crochet in her spare time. Barbara was a faithful life-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Barbara is survived by her four daughters, Bonnie Burgess of Manton, Beverly (Mike) Truax of Cadillac, Betty (Jon) Bednarick of Cadillac and Brenda (Ronald) Groth of Manton; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Kibbe; one sister-in-law, Margaret Coleman; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters, Agnes Morgan, Dorothy Christie and Lelah Greenaway; and one brother, Lyle Coleman.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 3 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Trinity Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Roseanne Anderson and Rev. Richard Anderson. Interment will take place in the spring at Fairview Cemetery in Manton.
