Barbara Jane Sutton, 68, of Houghton Lake passed away on Friday February 15, 2019 at her home.

Barbara was born on May 13, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan to James Hasler and Dorothy Elizabeth(Spike) Osborn. Following graduation from high school she traveled around the country some before entering Mid Michigan Community College. Barbara graduated from their nursing program and became a Registered Nurse in July of 1982. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Midland Mid Michigan Hospital for several years. Barbara enjoyed reading, laying out to tan in the sun with her friend Misty, and socializing with her friends. She loved animals, especially her cats she had over the years.

Surviving Ms. Sutton are her loving longtime companion of over 32 years Arthur Paul Trader of Houghton Lake; several cousins including Diana Rybak of Colorado; and her longtime friend Peggy(Misty) Staniecki of Houghton Lake. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

At the request of Barbara there will be no services. Memorial contributions in memory of Barbara are asked to be directed to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter.
