Beverly Ann McDaniel

Manton- Beverly Ann McDaniel, lifelong resident of Manton, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at her home with family by her side. She was 69.

Beverly was born into a large family in Manton, on June 14, 1948, to loving parents, Lawrence and Margaret (Wood) Bigelow. Following graduation from Manton High School Bev entered into holy matrimony with Dallas McDaniel in October of 1966. Bev was a proud mother raising her two children, Mike and Helen. She made her living with Manton Rubber and Plastics before their eventual closing and then spent many years working at the Grand Traverse Resort. Bev could often be found knitting or working on her next quilting project. She was giving of her talent and helped to provide many lap blankets on trips to the VA clinic or while attending treatments with her husband. Bev adored flowers and spent countless hours tending to the flowers around their home.

Beverly is survived by her beloved husband of over 51 years, Dallas McDaniel of Manton; her children, Mike (Carrie) McDaniel of Lake City and Helen (Ray) Bates of Manton; eight grandchildren, Ashleigh, Brandon, Peyton, Hannah, Kody, Sonny, Jesse, and Brianna; 12 siblings; sister-in-law, Mary Moore; many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Dallas Gilbert McDaniel and a sister, Alice.

Funeral services will take place at a later date.  Interment will be held at Greenwood Township Cemetery in the spring.

The family would like to extend a big "thank you" to Heartland Hospice and Bev's nurses, Laura, Mary, Amy, her social worker, Jessica, as well as Bev's sisters, Shirley and Betty for the kindness and care extended to Bev during her final days.
