Lake City, Michigan- Blanche M. Barron, of Lake City, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at her home. She was 94.
Blanche was born on January 24, 1925 to Luey and Florence (Jones) Kill in Portland, Michigan. She entered into marriage on August 15, 1942 with Ivan DeLine in Lake City. The couple spent 25 years together until his time of passing. In her spare time, Blanche enjoyed writing poetry. She was known by many as a world-class seamstress and often sewed clothes for her family. Blanche liked spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and going camping with her family and friends. She enjoyed animals, especially dogs and horses, and would often go horseback riding. Blanche cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Blanche is survived by her loving children, Sharon (Tommy) Burdine of Lake City, Leslie DeLine of Tecumseh, Michigan, Caroline (Tony) Rhoades of Van Horn, Iowa, Steven (Soundra) DeLine of Lake City and Randall (Joyce) DeLine of Interlochen; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luey and Florence Kill; husband, Ivan DeLine; sister, Gladys Sherlock.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 2 p.m. with visitation held a half hour prior at Young-Holdship Funeral Home. Officiating will be granddaughter, Amy DeLine. Interment will take place at Lake City Cemetery in the spring.
