Clayton W. Cooley

Clayton W. Cooley, age 66, of Houghton Lake passed away on Thursday April 4, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Clayton was born on September 18, 1952 in Port Huron, Michigan. He was married on October 16, 1982 in Port Huron, MI to Deborah I. Miller. The couple moved to the Houghton Lake area in 2017 from Kimball Township. Clayton was a past member of the Port Huron HOG Club, a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, past member of the SONS of the American Legion, he was a volunteer fire fighter for Kimball Twp. Fire Department where he served as Secretary and Captain and a volunteer for EMTS. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing and working in his yard.  

Clayton is survived by his loving wife 36 years; Deborah I. Cooley of Houghton Lake, daughter; Rebecca (Jacob) Demek of Plymouth, brothers; Michael (Cindy) Cooley, Robert (Michelle) Bechtel and Gerald Bechtel, sister; Annette (Patrick) Brady. He was preceded in death by his parents; Gerald and Isabell Bechtel, father; Clayton Cooley and brother Steven.   

Per Clayton's wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Clayton are asked to be directed to the family.
