Dallas James Watkins Sr.

Dallas James Watkins Sr., age 90, of Roscommon passed away on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at Samaritas Senior Living in Cadillac surrounded by his loving family. 

Dallas was born on September 6, 1928 in Flint, Michigan to Earl and Ceclia (Sovie) Watkins. He graduated from Flint Northern High School. Dallas served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Dallas was married on September 2, 1950 in Flint, Michigan to Lorraine Dues. He retired from General Motors where he worked at Fisher Body in Flint for 36 years. He moved to Roscommon in 1993. He was a member of the Flint Eagles and enjoyed golfing and woodworking.

Dallas is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Lorraine Watkins of Roscommon, sons; Dallas Watkins Jr. of Oregon, Robin Watkins of Phoenix, Arizona, David Watkins of Roscommon, daughters; Sherry Rabidoux of Grand Blanc and Carol Watkins of Oregon eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Sandra, Patricia, Joan and Fern and brother; Theodore. 

Per Dallas's wishes cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. Memorial contributions in memory of Dallas are asked to be directed to the American Cancer Society.
