Dennis Bohman Obituary

Dennis Carl Bohman, 71, of Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday June 24, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Dennis was born on September 28, 1946 in Durand to Sidney and Betty (Burrows) Bohman. He grew up in the Byron area and graduated from Byron High School. Dennis worked over 30 years for GM Buick Division. He moved to the Houghton Lake area in 1993 from Durand but had owned property and been coming to Houghton Lake for many years. Dennis was a member of Houghton Lake Moose Lodge, Houghton Lake and Durand Eagles, and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.

Surviving Mr. Bohman are his brother, Bill (Brenda) Bohman of Durand; two sisters, Karon (Brandon Kett) Allen of Durand and Sharon (Joseph) Cooney of Durand; several nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.

Family Celebration of Life Services will be conducted for Dennis Carl Bohman. Interment will be in Byron Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Dennis are asked to be directed to the Houghton Lake Moose Lodge. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
