Donald Walter Maske

Donald Walter Maske, 66, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday March 31, 2019 at home with his loving family by his side.

Don was born on January 28, 1953 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Donald  and Dorothy (Johnson) Maske. He grew up in the Southgate area where he graduated from Schafer High school.  Don was married on July 8, 1974 in Southgate to Patricia Anne Walker.  The couple moved from Southgate to the Houghton Lake area in1989.  Don worked as an Assistant Manager for Gilroy's Hardware for several years and then worked in the Lawn and Garden Department at Walmart.  He was a member of the Houghton Lake Eagles and enjoyed caring for his lawn.
His passion was his cars, 65 Mustang, 84 Cutlass, and 2004 SSR, which he would be caring for and working on whenever possible.

Surviving Mr. Maske are his loving wife of over 44 years, Patricia Anne Maske of Houghton Lake; daughter, Christina Maske of Prudenville; son, William Maske of Houghton Lake;  granddaughter, Dana; Sister Dawn Maske of Southgate; one niece and two nephews.  Don was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister Dana Maske. 

At the request of Mr. Maske there will be no services.  Memorial contributions in memory of Donald are asked to be directed to Munson Hospice.  Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
