Edna "Tiny" A. (Lemmon) Alberts

Cadillac - Edna "Tiny" Alberts, of Cadillac and formerly of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Whispering Pines Living Center, formerly Belle Oakes. She was 96.

Edna was born on October 21, 1922, in Hartwick Township, Michigan to Nelson "Jim" and Blanche (Williamson) Lemmon. She entered into marriage with John J. Alberts Sr. on September 30, 1939 in Reed City celebrating over 52 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 1992. Edna made her living working as a clerk with the United States post office in Marion for over 21 years, until she retired in 1987. Edna enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as reading and playing bingo. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church as well as the Marion Eagles.

Edna is survived by her loving family, including her sons, John (Karen) Alberts of Cadillac and Dale (Loretta) Alberts of Cedar; her beloved grandchildren, Dale Alberts Jr., Jenny Jenema, Mike Coon, Kimberly Alberts, and Johnny Alberts; and three great-grandchildren, Skylar Alberts, Joshua Alberts, and Isaiah Laleye. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Josette Coon; her husband, John Alberts Sr., her parents, and her siblings.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018, from 5 pm until 8 pm at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Marion, with a recitation of the Rosary to take place at 7 pm. A memorial Mass will follow on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 am also at the church.  Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Fix. 

Her urn will be laid to rest at the Greenwood Cemetery in Marion at a late date. 

Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Agnes Catholic Church or Hospice of Michigan.
