Lake City, Michigan- Frederick "Fred" Stephen Krupp, of Lake City, passed away on February 21, 2019 at his son’s home in Lapeer surrounded by family. He was 76.
Fred was born on February 10, 1943 to Donald and Marie (Navarre) Krupp in Pontiac, Michigan. He attended Avondale High School in Auburn Hills and later after he answered the call of duty serving in the U.S. Air Force, he graduated from Wayne State College of Law. He served first as an attorney down state and eventually as probate judge here in Missaukee County for over 30 years.
Fred enjoyed the outdoors and valued peace and quiet. He liked to read, hunt, fish and golf in his spare time. Fred also loved a good story and had many to tell but was a great listener. He cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. His favorite place to spend time was at his cabin along the river with his dear friends, his children and their families.
Frederick is survived by his loving children: Stephen, Paul (Lynne) and Melissa; Step-children: Jennifer (Dave) , Lisa, Jon (Stacy), and Elizabeth; Grandchildren: Derek, Emily, Karl, Danielle (Cory), Alana, ,Daniel, Sam, Maddie, Miranda, Michaela, Marina, Mira, and Kennah: Siblings: Pat (Jim), Genevieve (Wendell), Mike (Rosie) and Danny (Julie); Multiple nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Don, fondly called “Butch” and his wives: Linda, Dianne, and Kathleen
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home. Military Honors will be provided by the Lake City American Legion Post 300. Interment will take place at Lake City Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial contributions may be made by donating to the Missaukee County Humane Society which he actively supported, Fred was a pet lover.
