Gerald was a unique person and one of my favorite cousins. We always had a great time together and he had a great memory of all of our family members which is really something because our family was so large and so spread out. Family was very important to him and he could tell a story or two about every one of us. At times long periods went by when we wouldn’t see each other, but when we did he would bring me up to date on where everyone was and what they were doing. So one of the best family historians is gone and many of his jokes and stories have gone with him. There will never be another like him and he will be really missed.

I am so very sorry to read of Jerry's passing. I spent many special visits with him at Birchwood and administered Catholic communion and prayers to those who gathered in the Dining Room there. Jerry was always a gentlemen and truly loved his God and Church. I truly will miss not having him with us. God Bless his family at this difficult time. My husband was able to meet Jerry one evening and I had to pull him out of the room as they talked for a long time about "tractors and farming". Jerry, God has a tractor waiting for you in Heaven.

So very sorry for the loss of your Dad, we have some amazing memories though, seems like a life time ago that we had all our family get togethers, wouldn't trade them for the world. Hang in there the pain gets easier over time but never goes away because they are embedded in our hearts, love you guys.
