Cadillac - Glenn Dukes, was born in a farm house in Allen County Ohio to Merle and Alta (Hofferbert) Dukes on October 11, 1932 and died October 1, 2017.   He was 84.

Between these dates, Glenn graduated from Columbus Grove High School in 1952, where he participated in football, track, and some academics.  He married Rita Bogart on November 12, 1953.  Together they had a son, William David Dukes of Wellston, MI and a daughter, Deborah Ann Tiesworth who lives in Spring Lake, MI.  

He was preceded in death by sisters, Kathleen Binkley of Loveland, CO. Carol Palmer and Grace Blockberger both of Columbus Grove, OH.  Glenn worked for Cadillac Rubber and Plastics from 1961 until he retired in 1996.  He was delegated by the directors, in 1969, to open their first subsidiary, Manton Industries.  Glenn managed Manton Industries until he was ejected in 1983 and asked to open and manage another subsidiary, The Rubber and Plastic Molded Division.  During his employment he developed several automotive component manufacturing processes and was co-holder of two United States and one Common Market patent's for rubber production processes.

Glenn was a hobby farmer, raising Herefords, horses and hay.  He also enjoyed riding, hunting, skiing, swimming, canoeing, fishing, sailing, prowling the wilderness around the Bogart Cabin in Canada, life, and most of all the love of his life, Rita Mae.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated and his urn will be placed at Truro Cemetery in Ohio.  The family will be holding a memorial luncheon at Burke's Waterfront Restaurant in Cadillac, located at 2403 Sunnyside Drive, at 2:00 pm, next Friday, October 13, 2017.
