Harold Dean Kellow, 87, of Houghton Lake passed away on Saturday March 2, 2019 at home with his loving family by his side.
Harold was born on July 1, 1931 in De Tour, Michigan to William and Lillian (Tibbett) Kellow. He moved to Detroit and graduated from Detroit Central High School. Harold served as a Cpl in the Army during the Korean War. On September 21, 1957 in Ironwood, Michigan Harold was married to Dolores Irene Coughlin. He worked as a Tool and Die Maker for General Motors for many years. The couple moved from Redford Township to Houghton Lake in 1983. Harold was a member of St. Hubert Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.
Surviving Mr. Kellow are his loving wife of 62 years, Dolores Irene Kellow of Houghton Lake; daughter, Mary (Raymond) Orr of Howell; two sons, Michael (Michelle) Kellow of Wayne, and David (Marie) Kellow of Pierson; nine grandchildren; two nieces, Patricia (Dana) Radko of Novi, and Kathleen (Jim) Gurney of Howell; two nephews, John Hoffman of CA, and Tom (Dorita) Hoffman of CA. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willard Kellow, and Jim Kellow; and sister, Dorothy Kellow.
Private Family Services for Harold Dean Kellow will be conducted at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel. Memorial contributions in memory of Harold are asked to be directed to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
