Cadillac, Michigan - Harold "Bud" R. Bollman, of Lake City, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Green Acres Retirement Living in Cadillac. He was 91. He owned and operated Bud's Standard Service and Cabins in Lovells from 1955 until his time of retirement in 2006.
Bud was born on December 26, 1926, in Blue Island, Illinois to Raymond and Katherine (Harrison) Bollman. He answered the call of duty serving in the United States Army during World War II. Bud entered into marriage with the former Harriet Marie Sumowski on April 15, 1950 in Posen, Illinois. The couple spent 49 years together, until her time of passing in 1999. He enjoyed wood working, special trips to the casino, and spending time outdoors fishing. Bud was an avid collector of many sorts of things. He proudly was a life-long learner and was always interested in trying something new or learning a new skill.
Harold is survived by his two children, Kenneth (Jodie) Bollman and Deborah (John) Stosio; two grandchildren, John Stosio and Chad (Gaby) Bollman; a brother, Robert Bollman; and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Katherine Bollman; his wife, Harriet Bollman; a grandson, Eddie Bollman; and a sister-in-law, Marlen Bollman.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Marion, on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 1 p.m. with visitation held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Fix. Interment will take place at Lovells Township Cemetery at a later date.
