Manton, Michigan - Helen Irene Duncan, longtime resident of Manton, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. She was 82.

Helen was born into a large family on July 7, 1934, in Roseville, Michigan to parents Robert and Hazel (Smith) Somes. Helen entered into marriage with James Delbert Duncan on June 23, 1976, in Cadillac. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2000.

Helen made a living working many years with Manton Industries and eventually Rexair before her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, taking part in league play in Manton, and in earlier years spent time riding horses. Helen was a giving person and volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels delivering meals all over the area. She loved her family and was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished every opportunity to see her loved ones.

Helen is survived by her four boys; Bill (Vicki) Domanski of Manton, Andy Domanski of Manton, Robert "Bob" Domanski of Manton, Joe (Alison) Domanski of Manton; a step-son, Rusty (Barbara) Duncan of Rothbury, MI; her only surviving sister, Arvean (Raymond) Bain; seven grandchildren, Mark, April, Brandon, Jessica, Shana, Samantha and Tyler; six great-grandchildren; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Duncan, her parents, and nine siblings.

Visitation for friends and family will be held at the Hall-Holdship Funeral Home on Friday, September 30, 2016, from 2:00 pm until the time of service beginning at 3:00 pm, with Rev. Dan Hemmes officiating.
Interment will follow at the Greenwood Township Cemetery in Manton.
