Imogene M. McCrimmon

Rosebush, Michigan - Imogene Mae McCrimmon, of Rosebush and formerly of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Rosebush Manor. She was 90.

Imogene was born on February 8, 1928, in Traverse City, Michigan to Earl and Eva (Besaw) Button. She entered into marriage with Ralph McCrimmon on August 10, 1950 in Mancelona, Michigan. Imogene graduated from Central Michigan University with a Degree in Elementary Education. She met her husband, Ralph, while attending college. Imogene spent her career working for Marion Schools for 33 years. In her spare time, Imogene enjoyed volunteering. She cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Imogene was a member of the Marion United Methodist Church for many years and was also devoted to children's ministry and other church activities. She also attended Leaton United Methodist Church in the Mt. Pleasant area.

Imogene is survived by her son, Gary (Dawn) McCrimmon of Marion, MI; son Grant (Sandra) McCrimmon of Crystal, MI; daughter, Gail (Dale) Johnson of Marion, MI; sister, Marcella Armstrong of Piedmont, OK; 7 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Button; mother, Eva Button Fuller; husband, Ralph McCrimmon; sister, Baby Violet; and sister, Arlene Payne.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2018, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. and Monday, September 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday September 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Deb Johnson. Internment will take place at Middle Branch Township Cemetery in Marion at a later date.
