Jack Livingston

Farwell, Michigan- Jack Livingston, of Farwell, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was 77.
 
Jack was born on July 25, 1941in Wellston, Ohio to John and Marjorie (Nickols) Livingston. He grew up in Marion and was a graduate of class of 1959. After high school, he answered the call of duty serving in the United States Army, where he served as an accountant. Upon his service, he attended the Detroit College of Applied Sciences, where he achieved his degree as a manufacturing engineer. He spent his career working as a tool design engineer, where he drafted machinery for numerous manufacturers, including automotive and retail. During his early adulthood, he raised and bred dogs. He grew to create a special companionship with dogs. Jack enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, especially charter trips and pond fishing. Jack loved making special trips around on his motorcycle. In his spare time, he could often be found out back in his wood-working shop conjuring up a new project. Jack cherished the time spent with his family and made many memories camping with his grandchildren. He was a proud member of the Lake Eagles Club, the VFW and a lifetime member of the DAV. His family will remember him as a jack-of-all-trades, but a master to none.

Jack is survived by his two daughters, Sheila (Scott) Keck of West Haven, CT and Shelly (Karlton) Wedge of Allegan; grandchildren, Nathanael Keck, Joshua (Melinda) Keck, Ethan Wedge and Ellise Wedge; two sisters, Clarinda "Cindy" Joslin and Pansy Miller; and many other loving family members and friends.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John Livingston; and two brothers, Daniel Livingston and Charles Livingston.
 
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 1 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Dennis Williams. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery with military honors provided by the Marion VFW.
