Janet Lois Sluck, 66, of Houghton Lake passed away on Friday September 23, 2016 at home with her loving family at her side.
Janet was born on March 7, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to Ralph and Elsie (Majszak) Giasson. She grew up and attended school in the Detroit area. Janet worked in the accounting department for Michigan Bell for many years before her retirement. On March 19, 1979 in Hamtramck, Janet was married to Michael Joseph Sluck. The Couple moved to Houghton Lake from Southfield over 20 years ago. She enjoyed gardening and playing Pogo on the computer and reading books.
Surviving Mrs. Sluck are her loving husband of 37 years, Michael Joseph Sluck of Houghton Lake; step daughter, Gail (Stuart) Shear of KY; step son, Glenn (April) Wilson of Clinton Twp.; four grandchildren; three brothers, David (Geraldine) Giasson of Sterling Heights, Raymond Giasson of Macomb, and Martin (Helena) Giasson of Clinton Twp.; six sisters, Patricia (Richard) Miglio of Houghton Lake, Sylvia (Robert) Tarvis of Houghton Lake, Ellen (Mark) Krikorian of Clinton Twp., Judy Windish of Clinton Twp., Nancy (Ross) McIntee of Farmington Hills, and Lorraine Nuccio of Royal Oak; several nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Janet Lois Sluck will be conducted at a later date. Memorial contributions in Janet's memory are asked to be directed to Munson Hospice.
