Janet Anne (Heintzelman) Widdis

Janet Anne Widdis, 71, of Prudenville passed away on Monday July 15, 2019 at Mid Michigan Health Care in Midland.

Janet was born on April 9, 1948 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to Albert and Anna (Green) Heintzelman. She grew up in the Harrison area and graduated from Harrison High School. Janet was a homemaker and worked at Walmart for over 16 years after her daughters had grown. Janet was married on August 10, 1968 in Harrison to Jerry D. Widdis. Following their marriage the couple settled in Prudenville for the past 50 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially time with the grandchildren.

Surviving Mrs. Widdis are her loving husband of over 50 years, Jerry Widdis of Prudenville; three daughters, Heidi (Pat) Murray of Prudenville, Amy (Larry) Streeter of Coleman, and Kara (Tony) Mead of Battle Creek; four grandchildren, Colt, Macey, Morgan, and Treysen; sister, Betty (Butch) Miller of Greenville; brother, Andy (Tanya) Heintzelman of Houghton Lake; several nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, and step mother, Alta Heintzelman. 

Funeral Services for Janet Anne Widdis will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday July 20, 2019 from Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel with Rev. Douglas Stockwell officiating. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday July 20, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel.  Memorial contributions in memory of Janet are asked to be directed to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, 1169 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48108; (www.nkfm.org).
