Jeannette Farmer-Abney

Jeannette Farmer- Abney, age 66, of Lake City passed away on Friday August 9, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Jeannette was born on October 15, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to Leslie and Elizabeth (Pantera) Farmer. Jeannette was married on April 17, 1982 in Garden City to Frank "Russ" Abney. She was a member of the Morrestown-Stittsville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and all types of crafts. 

Jeannette is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Russ Abney of Lake City, son; Daniel (Raeanna Phelps) Abney of Houghton Lake, mother; Elizabeth Farmer of Houghton Lake, step-children; Kathy (Mike) Price of Lake Orion and Russell Abney Jr. of Higgins Lake, grandchildren; Megan (Matt) Soulliere, Bailey Abney and Madison Abney, great grandson; Cooper Soulliere, sister; Linda Mason of Belleville and brother; Glenn (Maureen) Farmer of Rockwood, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and special friends. Jeannette was preceded in death by her father. 

Per Jeannette's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
