June Roberta (Knapp) Parrott

Traverse City, Michigan - June Roberta Parrott, of Manton passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was 97.

June was born on June 28, 1921, in Alma, Michigan to Albert and Ruby (Swan) Knapp. She entered into marriage with William Thomas Parrott on June 6, 1945, in Detroit. The couple spent 56 years together before his time of passing on July 31, 2001. June enjoyed spending time outdoors hiking and camping with her family and friends. She was a faithful member of the Rollins Christian Fellowship church in Manton. In her spare time she would sew and quilt many beautiful pieces. She answered the call of duty serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. June cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

June is survived by her children, Linda Parrot of Interlochen, MI, Phyllis Bielewski of Ferndale, Kathy Szwed of Windsor, Ontario, and William (Kelli Perkins) Parrott of Holland; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Hall-Holdship Funeral Home. Interment will take place in the spring at Fairview Cemetery.
